*-Merry Christmas-*

Christmas is all about sharing and caring. Spread the love~! Posted by Hello

Her eye brows were arched high above the forehead with her mouth helplessly wide open. Little Julie was flabbergasted, totally mesmerized by what was actually appearing in front of her round inky black eyes. As she slowly regain her sudden lost of composure, she could no longer hold the excitement and threw herself at daddy. For a moment there, her vocabulary was as if narrowed down to only “thank you”. Julie’s parents were equally delighted. Nothing is more satisfying than the glint of happiness in Julie’s eyes.

“Don’t thank me! I didn’t know anything about that!”
“Me either. Your daddy and I were sleeping soundly away yesterday night. Hmm, I guess Julie must have been a very good girl this year. Just look at what Santa gave you!”

“Santa was here? But…I didn’t hear anything last night. It was very quiet and I kept an ear on the windows all night long” said Julie, scratching her head in confusion.

Julie was not troubled at all by that little mysterious incident as she was apparently overwhelmed with joy. Of course, it was just a little trick by her parents. It’s always so easy to make a child happy and contented.

The little commotion in the morning slowly faded away like footprints on the snow. It was snowing as usual, ushering Christmas to everyone in the vicinity. Julie just love to spend a day like this staring out from the window, observing every detail in this white and cold ambiance. It was not a usual habit of any 5 year old but Julie is rather inquisitive by nature. With the snow falling relentlessly, every object outside was subjected to the prolific decoration of nature’s best. Such scenery of profound beauty captured Julie’s heart and imgination. She was deeply engrossed as her thoughts were beginning to flow aimlessly away

Suddenly, a frail figure ran across the pavement, seeking refuge as if the end of the world is just at the horizon. He ran towards a small dilapidated hut. Even at a distance, Julie can notice him shivering in bone piercing coldness. It was a picture that rather contradicts with the Christmas that Julie had in mind. She kept wondering how someone can actually survive under this subzero condition with just a few ragged clothes.

A tinge of sympathy filled Julie’s heart. Just as she was about to tell her parents about the poor child, someone walked up to the hut. It was a very familiar figure. It’s him! It’s daddy! It is literally impossible to miss his shining bald head, especially at this bright afternoon . Like a magician with numerous tricks up his sleeves, daddy was pulling out goods after goods from the bags alongside. Julie watched with a bizarre feeling of warmth that she never experienced before. At this time, a thought flashed through her mind that again, ignited her excitement.

“I finally know who is Santa!!! Its daddy!!!! It has to be him!” Julie shouted at the top of her voice, running down the stairs towards her mum.
